Nina Briganti and Christopher
Most Sentimental Moment
Walking down the aisle and seeing him waiting there for me. It was amazing. Standing up there with him, I didn’t even know who was there. It was just him and I!!!
Favorite part with friends and family
Having everyone all together in the same room was so special. Our families haven’t been together in such a long time and also some family and friends haven’t even met my husband. So it was so nice to have everyone finally meet and bond together over our wedding.
Yes, at the end of the wedding after our last song everyone decided to poor their hearts out thru speeches over the DJs mic. It was so special and such a surprise that everyone has to voice their feelings about our amazing relationship. You could really feel the love in the room.
All of the traditional wedding day items such as a garter belt, something blue, something borrowed, etc……Also first dances as well a our Italian weddings songs were danced through the party. My Italian maternal grandmother is the only one still living so it was very special having her there and witnessing our marriage. It was so funny, the photographer during family photos told her she has to look at the camera, but she said to me in Italian that she only wants to look at me since I look so beautiful at my wedding.
How we personalized it
My husbands father and brother are deceased so I surprised him with a memorial plaque and candles to have them with us during the reception. Our Italian heritage was sparkled everywhere for part of our favors we gave out confetti (sugar coated Jordan almonds). 5 for tradition to mark different aspects of marriage.
We took a little mini moon to bal harbor Florida for a few days. We are planning our honeymoon for 2019 to Italy
Best part of the planning process
Everything!!! I loved the entire process. Don’t get me wrong it was stressful at times but it was so worth it in the end to see everything come together.
What’s next for us
Making beautiful memories with my amazing husband and my 2 step-children and our French Bulldog Santino.
Our Wedding Album
The happy couple
This is after the reception was over. We had a brunch cocktail reception so it ended and 2pm and that’s when we started our photos. It was so cold that day, 37 degrees with 35 mph wind gusts. Brrrrr. He was making me laugh to forget about the cold weather, lol, which he’s really good at.
We didn’t have an actual bridal party. My sister and brother in law, who actually set us up, we’re our best man and maid of honor. We had our 2 girls as flower girls as well
It took me a long time to find my dress. I went to over 10 bridal stores! I know what I like and looks good on me and I just had to find it without spending so much on it. So when I found this Allire bridals dress it was THE ONE! Before I said it’s the one though I had to make sure the seamstress at the bridal store could do the alterations i needed. The original drsss was strapless with a high back and not fitted from the waist down. So the seamstress has a lot of work on her hands. In the end, after 6 fittings, it was my dream dress.
We used my husbands good friend in the NYC diamond district for my engagement ring. For the bands, my husbands is a tungsten metal band and I have 2 eternity bands.
It was so amazing!!! It turned out to be a super cold day but we made it happen outdoors anyway. Couldn’t resist the beautiful outdoor area of our venue. I had purchased blankets for everyone and coffee and tea were served as well. It was a beautiful ceremony our officiant included our moms and even my step daughter signed our marriage certificate!
I went for a neutral palette. My flowers were absolutely amazing!!! From whisper & brook flower co., lafayette, nj. She provided bouquets, centerpieces, boutonnières and ceremony arch decor.
Here’s a photo from our first dance. We had a brunch cocktail reception from 10-2pm. It was so amazing and non traditional and we loved it and so did our guests. It was so fun and amazing. Everyone danced, ate, drank and mingled whatever they wanted to do. It was an easy reception for our guests to enjoy indoors or outdoors.
Our favorite moment
Being together after everything was over and getting to spend time taking photos and talking about everything that just happened earlier.
Our favorite wedding photo
This photo captures us and was an important spot for the photographer to capture our venue and our marriage.
