Catie and Clay
Most Sentimental Moment
The most emotional part of the day was definitely walking down the aisle to my husband! We did not do a first a look so we had not seen each other all day. It was really special to see each other for the first time at the altar after getting ready and anticipating the ceremony all day.
Favorite part with friends and family
The reception was the best part of celebrating with friends and family. After the vows were said and the I Dos were sealed with a kiss it was so nice to just relax with everybody and celebrate with good food, drinks, and dancing.
How we personalized it
We included my grandfather’s 1940 ford car as the getaway car. We were not able to have him there to celebrate so it was really nice to have his car there and just remember the love he had for his family.
We did take a honeymoon! We left the next morning to go to Italy for 2 weeks! It was perfect and packed with lots of walking and sightseeing. We visited venice, cinque terra, lake como, rome, and florence.
Best part of the planning process
The cake tasting was definitely fun! My sister in law made our cake so it was super fun to see her ideas and taste her amazing creations! Planning with my mom and sister was also so much fun, we had a lot of excuses to spend so many weekends together getting prepared for the big day.
What’s next for us
Clay and I are so excited to start our journey together as a family! We cannot wait to see where the Lord places us within the community and what plans he has in store for us. He has blessed us abundantly so far and we know he his blessings are never ending! We will enjoy these first years of marriage with each other and hopefully start growing our family in the near future!
Our Wedding Album
The happy couple
We just finished saying I Do and are leaving the ceremony!
This was after the ceremony, we are all waiting patiently to get to the reception to celebrate!
LOVED my flowers! I really just wanted green everywhere with a touch of maroon from the dahlias. They turned out just as I dreamed they would!
Our cake was a dream! My sister in law made it for us and it was the most beautiful and delicious cake…like ever.
Our favorite moment
I loved every single moment of my wedding day, it can’t say one is my favorite. But one that I will always hold very close to my heart is the dance with my dad. He was the first man I loved and is always such a perfect example of how a man should treat his wife and shows the love of the Lord so effortlessly.
