Brittany and Dustin
Most sentimental moment
I walked down the aisle to an acoustic eukelele version of Fleetwood Mac’s – never going back again. My entire life I have loved this song. It evokes a really happy feeling for me and Dustin. It was perfect.
Dustin and I are Christians so we wanted to have a somewhat traditional ceremony that still felt Hawaiian. Our pastor was wonderful – Tom is a native Hawaiian and incorporated our love of Hawaii and our love of Christ perfectly together. He used traditional elements such as washing our rings in ocean water before we exchanged them. He also blew a conch shell to the N, S, E, W to signal it was time for me to walk down the aisle.
How we personalized it
We wed at Kohanaiki on the big island in Kona. It is the most magical place for us. One where we have made many new friendships and had once in a lifetime adventures and experiences. Its unbelievably gorgeous and the property leaves nothing to be desired. Theres 5 star and then there is Kohanaiki! Also, the earrings that I wore I made out of Pearl and 24kt gold – inspired by my love of the ocean.
Because we did a smaller wedding I wanted it to feel really special and intimate. I had this vision of this gorgeous bohemian structure on the beach with a gorgeous table and floral colors inspired by Hawaiian sunsets. I wanted to be able to see the stars from dinner once the sun went down but also have light so decided to incorporate some hanging lanterns which were SO romantic!
We honeymooned at The Four Seasons Lanai Manele Bay!
Our Wedding Album
The happy couple
I wanted a classic style that would stand the test of time and that would also be comfortable everyday. Dustin really just wanted something comfortable and he liked the gold! We both love our rings.
